Who Are We?

The Failed Attempt is one writer's blog designed to expose the author's work to criticism, cynicism and enjoyment. It is updated whenever the author actually has the time to do so, but at least once a week is what we're aiming for. Please leave comments. Let us know just how much you love us... Cuz you know you do.

Where has the time gone?

Well, guys, time goes here. Or at least I do now. Most of you already know this. For those of you who don't, I'm telling you.

College is absolutely wonderful. I won't talk too much about it, I promise. But I could... College, however, is incredibly busy. I hardly have time to think, let alone blog. But this is not to say that I haven't been busy. Most of my old projects are on the back burner right now, though they still get some TLC when the mood strikes me. Most of the time, I'm doing homework, but that's creative enough in its own way. And some of that homework is actually fiction, too! Recently, however, I've branched out into a new arena: script writing. I'm 20 pages into my latest script and I think its pretty good, even unedited. And it has led me to discover something new and possibly wonderful...

I know that's a big picture to look at, but look at it anyway! Script Frenzy 2010 is when amateurs and professionals all over the world in many different languages and styles write 100 pages of script and upload it onto this site. I don't have all the details, so google it and find out for yourself. I can tell you that there are a lot of free script writing programs that make formatting easier. The one I'm using right now is Celtx. Google it as well and you'll find a free download of the full program. Script Frenzy also has a link to the same download if googling it is too much work. This year, I'm going to take part in Script Frenzy and I encourage you to do the same. They even let people co-write scripts together. Maybe you could find a buddy and write together. Sounds fun? No, I didn't think so either.

In the meantime, I'm supposed to be doing homework right now. Its not like I'm actually going to do any, I'm just supposed to be doing some. Look for updates every now and then. Life has finally stabilized to the point where I can do what I used to do for the most part. I may even post pictures of my new digs. I don't know... you'll just have to check back and see if I do.
